Kordy Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the Kordy iOS app and the support, privacy, account deletion, and invite-link pages on kordyapp.com. Kordy provides travel planning, group expense, checklist, invite, messaging, and memory-sharing features.

Data We Collect

Kordy may process your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, user ID, friendship and invite records, group/trip information, plans, checklist items, messages, memories, uploaded images, expenses, payment/settlement records, push tokens, app interactions, crash reports, and performance data to create your account and operate app features.

Location, camera, microphone, photo library, and calendar access are used only when you grant permission. Receipt scanning images are processed on device; receipt images are not sent to our servers unless you explicitly upload them.

How We Use Data

We use data for sign-in, group creation, friend invites, plan/checklist management, expense and balance calculations, live location sharing, notifications, data export, account deletion, subscription management, debugging, security, abuse prevention, and understanding product performance.

We do not sell or share your data for third-party advertising tracking.

Third-Party Services

The app may work with services such as Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Firebase Messaging, Firebase App Check, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, RevenueCat, Google Places, and Apple WeatherKit. These services may process data required for authentication, data storage, security, notifications, subscription management, analytics, crash reporting, and map/location experiences.

Data Retention and Deletion

Account and group data is retained while your account is active or while a legal, security, or operational need continues. You can request a JSON copy of your account data from the "Download my data" option in the Profile screen. You can start deletion of your account and related personal data from the "Delete account" option in the Profile screen.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active Apple subscription billing. Subscriptions must be managed from your Apple account settings.

Children's Privacy

Kordy is not directed to children under 13. If you believe personal data from a child under 13 has been provided to us, you can contact us to request deletion.

We may update this policy as the product, legal requirements, or our data processing practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
