Prices are US App Store or official-site prices on November 6, 2026; several apps list more than one price.

1. Wanderlog — the most generous free plan

Free for unlimited trips and tripmates, with real-time co-editing, email import, place recommendations, budgeting and bill splitting. Offline access, route optimisation and Google Maps export are part of Pro. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web; the app and website are in English.

2. Kordy — one app for planning and paying together

Free for up to 5 trips you create (trips you're invited to don't count) and 5 new expenses a day, with no time limit: day-by-day plans, booking emails forwarded in, expenses in 31 currencies with balances and a fewest-transfer settle-up, packing checklists, a group chat and photo memories. It works offline and is in 30 languages, on iPhone and iPad; an account is required.

Pro ($4.99/month or $39.99/year in the US, with a 7-day free trial) removes the limits and adds live flight tracking, receipt scanning and document attachments. We make Kordy.

3. TripIt — itineraries built from your emails

Forward your booking confirmations to TripIt, or connect your inbox, and it builds one itinerary per trip, available offline and on every device including Android and the web. The free plan keeps 3 documents per trip; TripIt Pro ($49 a year) adds real-time flight alerts, seat tracking and check-in reminders. It doesn't split expenses.

4. Tripsy — at home on every Apple device

Free for unlimited trips and guests, with native apps on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Expenses, email forwarding, documents and flight alerts are part of Pro, which is also available as a lifetime purchase. There's no Android app.

5. Polarsteps — the trip, tracked as it happens

Polarsteps tracks your route automatically and lets friends follow the trip, then turns it into stats and a printed Travel Book. Planning and tracking are free; it has no expense features and no live flight updates.

6. Lambus — group planning without an account

Lambus plans group trips on a map with documents and shared expenses with settle-up, and you can start without an account. Offline mode, flight updates and currency conversion are part of PRO, which one person can buy for the whole trip group.
